About The Tour des Ecrins
The GR54, also called "Tour des Écrins or "Tour of Oisans and Ecrins", is a circular long-distance hiking trail in the French Alps. It's almost 200km in total length and takes about 7-12 days to complete. It's one of the most popular thru-hikes in the French Alps because it traverses a particularly remote and high part of the Alps - mostly in the Écrins National Park and the Ecrins Massif. This thru-hike involves a lot of beautiful and steep alpine scenery with a lot of wildlife, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful hikes in the Alps.
