The Chilkoot Trail (other called the Chilkoot National Historic Trail) is a popular hiking trail on the border between the United States and Canada. It starts at Dyea, in Alaska, United States, and ends at Lake Bennett, British Columbia, Canada. It was originally used as a trade route that connected the coastline to the Yukon goldfields during the gold rush. Today, people complete it because it takes you through some spectacular scenery of the Coast Mountains, with steep cliffs, crystal-clear alpine water, and plenty of wildlife.
