The Lone Star Hiking Trail (in short LSHT) is the longest marked hiking trail in Texas, United States. It starts near Richards, at the Richards Trailhead, and finishes at the Winters Bayou Trailhead. The Lone Star Trail in its full length goes through the Sam Houston National Forest - a very remote and wooded area where you're very likely to encounter lots of wildlife. It also passes along Lake Conroe.
