About the Manaslu Circuit Trek
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a lesser-known trek in the Himalayas, Nepal, unlike the Everest Base Camp Trek or the Annapurna Circuit Trek. That said, it has recently started to gain a lot of popularity, due to its scenic, long, and diverse route. It takes you around Mount Manaslu (8,163 m / 26,781 ft), the 8th highest mountain in the world. The trail itself is pretty long and takes roughly 10 days to complete. It starts off going through lush forests in lower elevations, alpine meadows in higher elevations and offers some spectacular scenery of the nearby mountains when it reaches the highest elevations and mountain passes. A lot of people (and tours) also choose to include the Tsum Valley Side Trek, which takes you up to Mu Gompa - a Buddhist monastery.
