About the Speyside Way
The Speyside Way is a very popular long-distance hiking trail in Scotland, United Kingdom. It goes from Newtonmore to Spey Bay, Buckie (or backward) along the River Spey Valley in the Scottish Highlands. There's also a side trail leading to Tomintoul - a historic local village. It's known mainly due to its proximity to the river, but also due to its connection with whiskey because, along the Speyside Way, there are countless local Whiskey Distilleries. It's one of the four Long Distance Routes in Scotland, along with the Great Glen Way, the West Highland Way, and the Southern Upland Way.
