About Camino Primitivo
The Camino Primitivo (other known as the Primitive Way or the Original Way) is a route of the Camino de Santiago (other known as the Way of Saint James) pilgrimage. It starts in Oviedo, Asturias, then heads 321 km through rural northern Spain, and finally ends at Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. It's a rather popular route of this pilgrimage because it goes through the hilly region of Asturias, a lot of unique rural towns, and also shares the last part of the trail with Camino Frances - the most popular Camino de Santiago Route. Many people choose to complete the Camino Primitivo in combination with the Camino del Norte, because it ends up being much longer, and provides a good mix of mountainous and coastal regions.
Important: There are multiple Camino de Santiago Routes. So if you're buying this print as a gift, make sure that you're buying the correct one! You'll find a list of all the routes that we've covered over here.
